利记sbo’s mechanical engineering program is built around a core curriculum in manufacturing, mechanical systems, and thermal science. In this program, you will learn how products are designed, manufactured, and tested, as well as the basics of mechanisms and structures, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and energy conversion. You can choose from six concentrations: alternative energy, automotive, manufacturing, nanotechnology, solid mechanics, and thermal fluids, and can further augment your preparation by pursuing minors in aeronautical engineering or energy engineering. Since many consumer products are electromechanical in nature, a mechatronics sequence is also included.

My experience at Lawrence Tech has been full of incredible opportunities, including being a part of the Blue Devil’s Motorsports program. Formula SAE has challenged me in ways I have never thought of before, allowing myself to think differently and become a better engineer. I truly appreciate the smaller class sizes, allowing for more one-on-one time with my professors.
